MIGRAINES
We all have headaches, and they can be just as annoying as a toothache. You get similar symptoms such as nausea, dizziness, cold-like symptoms, and general annoyance that you cannot always get immediate relief unless you are on some prescribed medications. Where do migraines originate? How do we get migraines? More importantly, how do we avoid the migraines!
Where do migraines originate?
The amino acid tyrosine produces a breakdown called tyrosine. We love (plums, chocolate, caffeine, oranges, bananas, ripened or aged cheese, beef and chicken livers, and many others, have Tyramine in them. Any substance that has had bacterial decomposition has high levels of Tyramine. “Tyramine triggers headaches and organize a chain reaction that causes rebound dilation of vessels. Tyramine is a significant cause of migraine headaches. Another amino acid found in foods that are high in protein is called tryptophan. Tryptophan breaks down into serotonin, which can make possibly increase migraine pain.
How do we get them?
Diet is an essential part of our lifestyle. What we eat WILL determine how are body functions. Did you know that some cured meats contain nitrates and other preservatives that dilate blood vessels and give a headache? Some studies have named the following as causes of headaches; caffeine drinks (even if you all of a sudden stop from a period of excess), chocolate, pork, corn, onion, garlic, eggs, seafood, refined carbohydrates, high-salt diet, fatty, fried foods, and tobacco smoke.
How do we avoid them!
We can try to avoid headaches by merely altering the way we eat. A good practice would be to wake up with a cup of warm lemon water. The warm lemon water will help release some of the food choices that may not agree with you. Try to avoid the access of sugar and perhaps “go meatless” for two days out of the week (to start) and see how your body feels. I would also suggest you purchase my migraine tea for continuous good health. Migraine Madness
